Description
Construction of the local newspaper facility represented an undertaking only contemplated about once every fifty years. Waynesboro Construction was selected as the General Contractor to construct the “First Amendment” facility. With many critical milestones completion and coordination issues, the owner, designers, contractors, and major suppliers entered into a partnership agreement to manage completion of each milestone. The primary goal was to meet the “press ready” date to accept shipment of the “state of the art” printing press from Japan. Waynesboro and their partners met the critical date accepting shipment of 25 tractor trailer loads of equipment, and substantially completed the project ahead of schedule.
