Details Convert Historic Bldg - Brewpub Restaurant Location Frederick, Maryland Architect BMK, P.C., Frederick, MD Owner Bower's Brewing Company Description The building that now houses Brewer’s Alley was once the city’s original market building, later transformed to an opera house and theatre, and then used as a City Hall. Renovating this building, which included portions constructed in the 1790s and located within the City of Frederick’s Historic District, required the use and understanding of many special trade skills with sensitivity toward the preservation of this historical structure. Having a background from working on other historic renovation and downtown projects, Waynesboro Construction worked closely with the owner and architect to reconstruct the building into a restaurant and microbrewery while retaining the historic integrity of the original structure.
